The cabin was beautiful and clean. We had everything we needed including coffee that is a definite plus. We got there early and he allowed us to go ahead and check in, that was also greatly appreciated. The only negative was being on a very busy road, the traffic didn’t stop. I never expected a small town like that would have eighteen wheelers driving through. But we still enjoyed our stay and appreciated the decor and warmth of the cabin.

This cabin was very clean, spacious, and had a great coffee station! The game board selections were nice instead of opting to watch TV. We saw that other people were bothered by the traffic noise at night, but we didn't experience overnight disturbances and we both slept better than we have in a long time. The noise machine really helped and was a great touch by the owner!! The cabin was such a perfect mix of maintaining the beautiful historic integrity with the upgrades necessary for modern day comfort. It felt like we went back in time while staying warm and comfortable. It was in the teens when we left, but we couldn’t have been happier. Would definitely stay here again the next time we come back to the area.

This was such a memorable stay! As a history buff and antique collector myself, the history of the cabin is fascinating and the restoration is impeccable. I loved finding all of the details from the authentic door handles and locks, to the antique furniture and decor. It felt like we were staying in a museum! Even though it is old, the cabin felt fresh and clean and had all of the modern amenities, most importantly nice cold air conditioning! There are some quirks that come with an old place like this, like not a lot of insulation to buffer the noise of traffic, and stairs that are very steep - but it was worth it for the experience! Matthew was very responsive and a great host. Thank you for having us!
